This song describes how the sheep of New Zealand sculpt the landscape by their constant walking and eating grass and weeds. The celebration and elevation of certain artists by academics, curators and critics can be overblown or ridiculous hence the phrase clown accolades. It also refers to the fact that the desire for money possessions and security often reduce us to a sheeplike conformity. - Reg Mombassa
